COVID-19 has changed our normal activities and adventures. Today we went to one of our favorite spots, St Mary's of the Barrens at Perryville, Missouri. It was a gorgeous day to be outside enjoying the seminary's zinnia field and beautiful campus. 2020 is the first year for the zinnia field and there were many people out enjoying the beauty of nature today. There is also a new collection of marble Madonna statues from around the world. The collection was completed December 2019. The statues are both beautiful, each in their own way, and inspiring. Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Our Great Great Grandmother, Mary Felicite St Vrain attended the convent school around 1838. More about her in another post. She married Theodore Bisch on November 3, 1840. He was 31. She was 17.
We ventured through Ste Genevieve on the way home. It was a good day.
